Life Leadership Weekend

LLW
LIFE LEADERSHIP WEEKEND

A Premier Chiropractic Event

Our Life Leadership Weekends are a wonderful opportunity to visit Life U and learn more about our Chiropractic program. Our Leadership Weekends offer an in-depth look at the chiropractic profession and the kind of chiropractic education that you will receive at Life University. Students attend from all over the U.S. and outside of the U.S. to participate in this event (we hold them 4 times a year). Throughout the weekend, you will hear from prominent guest speakers, including Life University President Dr. Rob Scott; talk and network with experienced Doctors of Chiropractic; meet faculty, staff and Student Ambassadors; tour the University; participate in fun outdoor learning activities; and much more!

If you have any questions before registering, please contact the Events office at 770.426.2683 or email us at Events@life.edu.

A: LIFE Leadership Weekend is offered January, April, July, and October. CLICK HERE to find the most current available dates.

2: How far in advance can I register for LIFE Leadership Weekend?

A: There are always two dates available for the upcoming LIFE Leadership Weekends that can be found at Visit LIFE . LIFE Leadership Weekends fill up fast! Registration is subject to early closure due to maximum capacity. If the weekend registration is closed, you are invited to book for the next available event.

3: Is there an age limit in order to attend LLW?

A: We welcome participants who are 17 and older. However, it is important to note that all participants under the age of 21 must be escorted to LIFE Leadership Weekend by a parent or legal guardian.

4: I have registered for the LIFE Leadership Weekend (LLW), am I done and ready to go?

A: NO. There is much to do to secure your weekend with us. Please be on the lookout for email correspondence and if you need to update your email, please contact us at Events@Life.edu. Please be mindful in checking your spam and trash folders for our email correspondence. Without your email response and confirmation your registration may result in forced cancellation. If you register for the weekend within 6-8 weeks of the event, our office will automatically begin to send you the necessary emails to confirm your attendance and ask you to secure your registration details. If you registered for the event early, you will receive email communications 6-8 weeks prior to the event. It is important that you be aware of deadlines.

5: Once I register for the weekend, is attendance mandatory?

A: YES! ALL Prospective Students must attend all sessions of the weekend to receive benefits. The official designated times for attendance are Friday 8:30am-8:00pm and Saturday 11:30am-8:00pm. In return, Life University covers your Friday and Saturday hotel stay, airport/hotel shuttles and meals on event days. Make sure to confirm your registration upon arrival on Thursday at the hotel. If you arrive late Thursday evening, you must confirm your registration Friday morning on our campus. Saturday check in is also mandatory.

6: Must I check in each day of the event?

A: YES! Check in is required for all prospective students and guests both Friday and Saturday morning upon arrival to Life University.

7: What if my email or phone number changes since I registered for the event?

A: That is no problem, but we need you to email us at events@life.edu with your email and telephone updates.

8: What if a friend and I are both interested in the Chiropractic program and both want to come the same weekend?

A: Life U provides two nights’ hotel stay for all guests. If you are a prospective student and you have a friend who is a registered prospective student coming to the weekend, Life U will pay for three nights of your hotel stay if you share a room. Contact Life U’s Events Team with the name of the prospective student with whom you would like to share a room and the name under which the reservation has been made, and Life U will let the hotel know that we will take care of all three nights.

9: Can I bring a guest? How many guests can I bring? What is covered for guests?

A: Registered attendees are allowed to bring one guest.

We strongly recommend bringing a guest. Bring your significant other or a parent. Our guests love this weekend. Guests are welcome to attend all sessions. Life University will cover the cost of one guest, but we ask that each additional guest pay $150 per person. This fee offsets food and transportation costs for the weekend. We collect your additional guest fee(s) during registration, payable by cash, check or credit card. LIFE does not pay for additional hotel rooms for guests of LIFE Leadership Weekend participants.

10: Are children welcome at LLW?

A: We do not recommend bringing children to the weekend because the day-long events and activities are not designed for children. This event requires full participation at all times.

11: Where will I stay? What lodging expenses will LIFE cover?

A: Life University pays for two nights’ hotel stay for LLW participants. Life U has rooms available to reserve at a hotel near campus. If you need a hotel for the weekend, be sure to indicate that on the online registration form. Few weeks prior to the event you will receive instructions about how to make your hotel reservations online. When you make your reservation online, you will be asked to hold the room using a credit card. Reserve your room under the name of the weekend registrant (not necessarily the credit card holder’s name). Your credit card will not be charged and upon check-out, LIFE will pay for your stay.

Note: Upon check-in, guests will need to provide a credit card for incidentals. Your credit card will not be charged for your reserved room nights.

Please Note: All sessions of the event must be attended to receive full complimentary benefits.

12: What if I live locally and do not plan to stay at the hotel? How will I park?

A: We strongly encourage all local/GA residents to stay at our host hotel and take our scheduled shuttle to the University. If you choose not to book a room at the hotel, it is important you confirm your accommodations with the Events Office. Without this confirmation, your LLW registration may result in forced cancelation. Parking on campus is limited, but a parking pass can be provided if requested.

13: What if I want to stay at the hotel longer than just the event?

A: If you need to stay longer, you can reserve your hotel room from the Wednesday before LLW until the Wednesday after the weekend and receive the special Life University rate. You will have to cover additional hotel nights on your own. To reserve extra nights be sure to contact the hotel directly.

14:Which airport should I fly into and how will I get from the airport to the hotel? How will I get from the hotel to Life University?

A: Please fly into the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (ATL). Please note that this is the busiest and biggest airport in the United States. LIFE offers free airport shuttles to the hotel on Thursday, and back to the airport Sunday. Thursday airport shuttles run bi-hourly between 10:00am and 8:00pm (leaves airport). On Sunday, airport shuttles leave the main hotel at 5:00am, 6:00am, 7:00am, 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am and Noon. We do not provide alternate transportation. If these scheduled shuttle times do not fit your needs you will be responsible for booking and paying for your own form of transportation. (The Events team will provide a link for you to personally book your airport/hotel shuttle transportation). There is a chance that shuttles will fill up – therefore making it imperative for you to communicate your flight info).

Life U also provides free shuttle service to and from the campus and hotel. These shuttle times are listed in the weekend schedule. If you miss a shuttle you will need to arrange and pay for your own transportation. Please note: Parking is limited on campus – we advise taking the scheduled shuttle.
